Cold Brew Cocktails
Magnus Cold Brew Cocktail
Nutmeg is the secret ingredient to bringing this cold brew cocktail to life.
- 3 oz cold brew coffee
- 2 oz Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 oz coconut (or other sweet) milk
In a cocktail shaker, shake with ice until cold and frothy. Loosely strain to keep the froth. Top with fresh nutmeg.
Red Night, Red Morning Cocktail
A little bit of a maverick, this red wine cold brew cocktail is a rich, slow sipper.
- 1 oz Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- .5 oz Thatcher’s Organic Blood Orange Liqueur
- 2 oz cold brew coffee
- 3 oz red wine
- .25 oz lemon juice
- 1 tbsp simple syrup
In a cocktail shaker with ice, shake all the ingredients. Strain slowly into a highball glass filled with ice.
Lavender Honey Vanilla Cold Brew Cocktail
An extremely subtle coffee cocktail. Honey, vanilla, and lavender all lend themselves to balancing the cold brew.
- 2 oz cold brew coffee
- 2 oz Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 1 tsp honey
- .5 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 oz lavender simple syrup
- 2 oz almond milk
- Lavender sprig, garnish
For the Lavender Simple Syrup:
- 8 oz water
- 6 oz sugar
- 2 sprigs dried lavender
For the Lavender Simple Syrup: Boil water in a small saucepan. Dissolve the sugar by stirring and add the dried lavender. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Store for up to one week in the fridge.
Combine cold brew coffee, lavender syrup, honey, vanilla, and almond milk in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake. Add in Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey and shake vigorously. Slowly strain the mixture into a Collins glass.
Cold Brew Nut Cocktail
A dark, nutty take on a traditional cold brew cocktail.
- 2 oz Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- 2 oz cold brew coffee
- 1 oz chocolate liqueur
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- 1 dash walnut bitters
- Orange twist, garnish
Quickly stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
Cold Brew Maple Whiskey Cocktail
Add a little maple syrup to your cold brew cocktail for just a hint of sweetness.
- 4 oz cold brew coffee
- 2 oz Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey
- .5 oz maple syrup
- 1 dash walnut bitters
- 1 oz heavy cream
Add ice to a cocktail shaker, along with the cold brew coffee, Joseph Magnus Straight Bourbon Whiskey, walnut bitters, and maple syrup. Place the lid onto the shaker and shake for 10-15 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a Highball glass and pour the heavy cream on top. Do not stir. Serve immediately.
