You know and love the Thanksgiving dinner classics — turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing… But most families have their own take or twist on each of these dishes and ours provides an extra kick. Check out some boozy takes on these Thanksgiving meal staples, thoughtfully curated from some of our favorites sources.

Cranberry Sauce with Bourbon

  • 2 cups sugar
  • .5 cups Joseph Magnus Bourbon
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 large coins of peeled ginger
  • Orange zest
  • Juice of 4 oranges
  • 1 cup of cranberries (frozen or thawed)
  • 1 vanilla bean

Full recipe here.

Bourbon Pecan Stuffing

  • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • .5 cups butter
  • 2 tbsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 cups bread cubes
  • 2 tbsp Joseph Magnus Bourbon
  • 1 cup turkey broth

Preheat oven to 325°F. Melt butter in a small saucepan and cook celery and onion until soft. Stir in thyme, pecans, and salt and pepper. In a large bowl, combine vegetable and bread cubes. Drizzle mixture with bourbon and enough broth to moisten the ingredients. Pour everything into a 2 quart baking dish and bake uncovered for 50-55 minutes.

  • .75 cups sugar
  • 3.5 tbsp Joseph Magnus Bourbon
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • .75 tsp ground ginger
  • .75 tsp ground allspice
  • .25 tsp salt

Full recipe here.

Bourbon Apple Hot Toddy
